Galaga '88 / Pacmania Switching Power Supply:

Here is a collection of Galaga '88 and Pacmania cabinet photos that show the correct wiring for converting the linear power supply to a switching power supply.  These are high resolution photos suitable for zooming in on wires to view the connections.

I'll update this page soon with more written information about the conversion process. My Pacmania game was already converted to a switcher when I bought and my Galaga '88 was DOA when I bought it. I used the Pacmania as my example and installed a switching power supply in it following the exact wiring that the Pacmania had. The Galaga '88 was instantly rejuvenated and powered up the first time I played it.

Hopefully this guide will be able to help others that need to make this conversion able to do so easily.
