F-15 Strike Eagle. Here's something you've probably never seen before - an original F-15 Strike Eagle Sit Down game. I recorded a four minute clip of my F-15 Strike Eagle from the Syzygy Arcade so that this rare game could be seen by other collectors that might not otherwise ever get to see it. Some interesting history about this rare game: F-15 Strike Eagle was the only arcade game ever produced by Microprose, and it was not a big hit with gamers. Most found it too much like a simulator, and the players that wanted a sim found it to be too much like an arcade game. Although it was not popular among arcade goers, its technical specs are impressive. It can manipulate 2,000 polygons per frame at 30 frames per second, an unprecedented accomplishment during its 1990 release. Click the screen shot to see this exclusive video of F-15 Strike Eagle. (15MB .wmv Video). A Tribute to Pac-Man. Written by Alexander Mejia, this video is a mixture of all of the classic Pac-Man arcade titles, combined with a flashy techno soundtrack. The results are awesome! Don't forget to check out Alex's web site at: http://www.tavproductions.net/pacman/pacman.html and his blog at: http://alex.nigma.info/. This video was originally presented in movie theatre ads in 1982 to generate hype for the release of Atari's newest arcade game, Dig Dug. This 2.5 minute ad was recently sent to the Arcade Archive so that it could be viewed online for the first time. Atari, along with Young and Rubicam, received a 1983 Clio Television/Cinema award for this commercial. Click the icon to the left to view the video. (20MB .mpg Video). MAME The Night by Grand Master Peter. This video is from the "Flovies" section of the PowerStrike web site at www.powerstrike.net and is the work of Grand Master Peter. Star Wars Trilogy Arcade - The Entire Game. This is a video of me playing the entire game from start to finish at the Syzygy Arcade. I couldn't find this anywhere else on the internet, and this game is so visually gorgeous that I thought people might enjoy watching it. I almost made it all the way through the game on one credit but the "Death Star II" mission got me. It's still a great run through the game and a real piece of eye candy. The video has minor scanlines and open air microphone audio but still is pretty good. Enjoy! This video is broken down into six sections, one for each phase of the game. Click the text links below to view each section or right click on them and pick "Save Target As" to download them to your computer. (10MB each, .wmv format)
Genesis - Lifeforce Revealed. From the Internet Pinball Machine Database: An animation feature is found under a dark tinted window in the middle of the playfield. It is called the "Regenerator" and it holds the "Lifeforce". When "Lifeforce" is lit, a full-stroke shot on the Vari-Target launches the unveiling of the Lifeforce robot. This sequence uses an onslaught of flashers around the robot and behind the translite, to the music of Bach's Toccatta & Fugue. Credit for this video belongs to Kevin Wayte of Nova Scotia, Canada, who produced this video in 2003.
Computer Space - Mint Warehouse Find. John Robertson of Flippers.Com originally posted this video on his site. It does not appear to be available any longer and I didn't want this great video to disappear into obscurity. This game was part of a warehouse find that he listed for sale on eBay. The machine had 16 plays and was in pristine condition. All of the guts were original and the cabinet looked like it came out of a time machine. It sold on eBay for $4,373.78! Collectors, Episode
#26: My Obsession - Pinball Collector. Paul
started collecting pinball machines in 1998,
when he became nostalgic about (some of the
things that he did during) his teenage years. He
wanted to recapture the days of going to the
drive-in theatre, playing game machines in the
arcades and listening to favorite songs on the
jukebox. He now has seven pinball machines, four
old arcade games and two juke boxes. He bought
his first pinball machine in 1998 and has since
built a special game room in his backyard to
house the growing collection.
